Have you lost a loved-one, friend or colleague due to a road collision? If so, perhaps you would like to keep their memory alive, and at the same time help SCARD support people in a similar situation to you? You can now do this by creating a SCARD memorial fund in their honour.
If you set up a SCARD memorial fund, people will be able to make donations to the fund and in the process benefit SCARD core funding, enabling us to maintain our support work. Each memorial fund has its own dedicated web page, and you can pay your tribute to your lost loved one by writing about your feelings for that person, and painting a picture of what they were like in life, their likes and dislikes, little ways that made them so special, and how you feel about your tragic loss.
You can check how the fund is doing at any time, as all donations will be shown on the web page.
You can donate on-line, or by post with a cheque, or maybe you would like to set up a regular payment to mark an anniversary in the person's life, such as their birthday. Why not do a fundraising activity such as a sponsored run - we will be happy to provide you with sponsorship forms.
We hope you will agree that a SCARD Memorial Fund is a fitting way to commemorate the life of a lost loved one, and at the same time do something positive in their name.
If you have set up a memorial fund and would like to tell friends and relatives about it, please click here for a set of Memorial Fund notification cards - you may like to send them off to friends or relatives who might like to donate to the fund.
If you would like to create a Memorial Fund, please click here - it is a simple on-line process, and is completely free of charge.
