carl, woz a back seat passenger in a car travelling from wakefield on the morning of sat 18th march 2006. the driver failed to negotiate a bend and the car came off the road and hit a tree. my son was pronounced dead at pinderfields hospital. on the 8th january this year a 22 year old man from pontefract was charged with causing my sons death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol. on the 15th jan the man pleaded guilty to this and is due to be sentenced on the 20th feb. we have set up a campaign to have drunk drivers licences suspended until they appear in court. this man was allowed to drive up until i kicked a bit of a stink up and he was taken back to court on 2nd feb where he was issued with an intrim disqualification order.
